Since 1988, Karen Baggott has been making photographic images in and around Morehead City, North Carolina, where she and her husband Jerry Heiser reside. She also carries her camera as she travels.
The portfolios presented here cover both arenas. Karen has had an interest in photography since the early 1970's when she moved to Maine from her home state of Michigan. Her mother, Julie, gave her a Kodak Pony IV camera - a rangefinder 35mm with no built-in light meter.
She learned to use the guides that came with each roll of film to make exposures. Nature is her favorite subject, but human-made subjects are just as intriguing - after all we are part of nature too!
