LOW RESOLUTION DISTORTIONS
--digital photography online--

by Rick Doble

Forget hi-res and hi-tech.
This tests the limits of low resolution
to see how much an image can be broken down
and still be recognizable.
Since JPG is a lossy format (meaning it actually loses information in its compression algorithm),
I decided to go the the extreme to see what kinds of effects I would get.
I used the image of my face and shadow because that meant the image would still
be recognizable in spite of the distortion.
