LIGHT PAINTING
WITH DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
By Rick Doble

These digital photographs were taken of a Ferris Wheel

The first photo in the series is a regular photo. In the next four photos the camera was moved in combination with the Ferris Wheel movement to create the light painting effects. You can see that each photo leads to the next, yet the last photo is completely different from the first and even the second. This is a good example of how to experiment. It took me about thirty minutes to go from the first image to the last one on this page. The final image was so unusual, I was very surprised that I could get this kind of effect.
